Our client is a prominent Slovak firm managing urban development projects
Our client, a renowned urban development project management firm, faced a unique challenge. They sought to explore the feasibility of using iPhones to track individuals within their facilities, replacing conventional proprietary access cards that were often forgotten or left behind on desks. The tracking requirement extended to various scenarios, including order delivery in the cafeteria, team communications, monitoring crowd density for air quality management, and tracking the utilization of relaxation areas.
To address this challenge, we embarked on a comprehensive proof-of-concept (PoC) project. Leveraging the capabilities of iPhones and Bluetooth technology, we meticulously designed, developed, and tested a solution that demonstrated the viability of replacing proprietary access cards. Our solution not only showcased the successful tracking of individuals but also the adaptability of iPhone functionality modes to different scenarios. This PoC was a resounding success, proving that iPhones could effectively replace conventional access cards while delivering accurate location data in a variety of real-world situations.
This successful PoC had a profound impact on our client's operational efficiency and security. By eliminating the need for proprietary access cards, the client streamlined access control and improved the overall convenience of their facilities. The ability to accurately track individuals in diverse scenarios, including cafeteria deliveries, team communications, air quality management, and relaxation area utilization, provided valuable insights for optimizing usage of their premices. Moreover, this innovative solution demonstrated how iPhones could serve as a versatile and cost-effective alternative to traditional access control methods, opening up new possibilities for enhancing security and tracking in various environments.
